:: for full view, click on the picture again :: Rain Rain Go Away . . . Please don't take my sun away.... It's been a while since I last submitted more than one deviation a day... I decided today's speshul, since I still have to finish all the good ones for January as planned so I can start with a new theme for February. Plus I thought i'd bring the flow of the Black and White theme into perspective here with Que Sera Sera as the Featured Deviation and this one's as the Recent Deviation picture. The first deviation (Que Sera Sera) shows one side of the island, while this one shows the other. Very much contrasting between the two, this one was taken also on the 28-80mm lense of one of the lanes between shophouses in the trading and market areas.. I can't call it the business district coz that sounded too formal somehow. It was raining around noon when *suzums , *Aikuchi and I were there in Pulau Ketam. The soaked wooden planks which serves as a road a few feet above sea level, or rather the mangrove swamp, while the bicycle here ridden by this gentleman is one of the main transportation one needs to get in and around the island, aside from motorbikes and motorized bicycles. ...see what I meant when I said the island was like a world of its own? Disclaimer: Please DO NOT mistake this photo as either the aftermath or before the recent tsunamis of the island, which hit the country and many others in South Asia. This is NOT a tribute. Although one death was reported nearby Pulau Ketam, the island itself and Port Klang were not affected by the quake or tsunami. This deviation, however, may be used as a representation of how fishing villages along the north-western coastlines of Peninsular Malaysia or those of Indonesia, Thailand, India and Sri Lanka were like before the disaster. Please interpret this picture and upcoming ones accordingly. For more information on Pulau Ketam, please check the Journal.
