Birds-A-Feather . . . Flock sort-of together...

Intrigued by an apprehensively intrusive huge lens, this cutie decided to get away from the pack and hopped closer to me to take a closer look at me pointing my telephoto at it. Even gave me that "WTF-izzat" look too.

The most gorgeously stunning beauty in the whole park I'd say, and damnit I should've brought my notebook along to write down the name of the bird. So lesson to learn from this deviation:

BRING ALONG A PEN AND PAPER!!! :shakefist:

its a toucan... dont you eat cheap sugary breakfast cerials??
looking at the technicalities - you photo edit in fireworks? the mind boggles... its a vector program
also maybe you should shoot at a shutter speed faster than the length of your lens. 1/200th, avoid that camera shake you can see there
nitpicking aside (sorry),
nice composure, (maybe even better if a branch werent going through one of their heads, but in your particular case i can see how it would be hard)
you captured a moment well though - good work
:iconestudio:
Toucan.. gottit.. and no, I don't eat cheap sugary breakfast cerials. You'd proly have to remember i'm on a different part of the world where such sugary stuffs many not exist.. Hehehe!

I only used Fireworks to add the frame and add a li'l extra contrast to the image. The rest are untouched.

Animal-shots, true... I do need a faster shutter speed.. The F/4 doesn't have IS, so it's pretty hard for me to hold the bigassed lens around after lugging it in what's reputably the world's largest covered aviary..

Thanks so much for the tip! Love it love it love it!! I learn so many new stuffs each day...

Beautiful image----the simplicity of the white background with the colorful beaks really works. I had to look twice to make sure it was a photograph! Well done.
:iconc-law:
i have no comment on this one..nice picture...beautiful colors, great composition, exotic bird...
i guess their name should be toucan. but i am not so sure what toucan they are.
:iconlukeroberts:
:wow: wow that's just so perfect. I thought it must have been a painting from the thumbnail. You've been able to compose it perfectly and the colours are just great. Looks like something from National Geographic.

Also... i didn't know you had the same camera as me :) Or maybe i did and forget
:iconestudio:
LoL! It's a lifelong dream for me to go NGEO.. Best i start early. Am glad you felt that way... Thank you so so so much!!

I've had the EOS300 since January this year. Previously (and still am) I used the EOS500N.. Now I use the EOS300 for color film and the EOS500N for Black/White..

:D NGEO... in another 5 years, we shall see.... :plotting:
